The Opportunity
In this GP practice that is part of a small health service in regional Victoria, you will be working solo alongside the part-time Practice Nurse 3 days per week. With 15 minute consultation times available, you will see a varied patient population across all ages.
The clinic is joint to an aged care nursing home where you will be required to assist with the round for an hour on every Tuesday afternoon. There is also the hospital and urgent care centres whereby further medical staff will be working and ward nurses are happy to assist if needed.
In terms of allied health services, there is 1 visiting RFDS Women's GP every 8 weeks.
You will receive a daily rate of $1600, plus travel, fleet vehicle and 1-bed accommodation. If you are open to covering the on call as well the daily rate is $1800 per day.
The Location
Set on the Southern shores of Lake Tyrrell, the largest salt lake in Victoria, the viewing platform offers a great spot to unwind as you marvel at its reflective surface, particularly at sunrise and sunset. You can also view the silo art in this wheat-belt town. Further afield you will find a vast array of wheat fields and sheep grazing land as well as surrounding National Parks with a network of lake beds.
Essential Criteria
To be eligible for this role you must have unrestricted AHPRA specialist registration as a General Practitioner and full working rates.
