Hosting one million visitors annually, Southport Sharks is one of the largest clubs in Queensland and one of the Gold Coast's leading clubs with over 55,000 members.
Our facility offers a multi-purpose events centre, two restaurants, a café, five bars, two AFL grade ovals, sports facilities, modern 24/7 fitness centre, kids club, gaming facilities and free weekly entertainment, plus a 120-room Mantra hotel.
We are seeking applications for a vibrant Receptionist representative with exceptional customer service skills to join our Fitness Centre team.
About The Role
Welcoming all members and guests
Membership tours and sales
Promote the benefits of membership to new and existing members
Assisting members and guests with general enquiries
Answering all incoming phone calls
Provide prompt, friendly, customer focused service to members and guests
Develop member fitness programs
About You
As someone with previous experience in the fitness industry, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with our members and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills.
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following
Experience in training clients and small group training (preferred)
Experience in developing Fitness Programs
Experience in sales, administration and customer service within a fitness environment
Professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure within a busy environment
A bright and friendly personality
Willingness to go the extra mile to help members and the Fitness Centre team
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Qualifications Required (minimum)
Certificate III in Personal Training or equivalent
Current Public Liability insurance
Current First Aid and CPR
Current registration with Fitness Australia or equivalent
The successful applicant must be available to work a variety of shifts between the hours of:
Monday to Friday – 4:45am and 9:00pm
Saturday – 5:45am and 6:00pm
Sunday – 6:45am and 6:00pm
