THE ROLE
Location
To be able to offer our customers 10 + weeks of continuous supply of the highest quality cherries, we have 3 growing regions. This role is based at our Maintenance Workshop in Yarck, regional Victoria where our Head Office is also based. On-farm repairs will be required from time to time at multiple sites across our 3 regions / 12 farms encompassing Cobram, Strathbogie Ranges and Alexandra/Yarck.
Our 70 permanent full-time staff usually reside in country towns within a 40 minute commute to Yarck including Mansfield, Eildon, Euroa, Alexandra, Yea and Seymour.
The role and its responsibilities - Workshop Supervisor
You will be responsible for the people, the spare parts and progress of repairs and maintenance on all our machinery and ensure the maintenance department is running smoothly and efficiently.
You will love diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide variety of equipment from tractors to chainsaws and everything in between (utes, trucks, slashers, sprayers, harvest trailers, farm utilities and irrigation pumps) to provide optimum reliability.
It is your role to ensure stoppages, machinery performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner with a good level of fault-finding skills.

This is a permanent fulltime position all year round which builds up to a busy harvest period from October to February.
The off season involves a lot of planning, coordinating and carrying out preventative maintenance.
This seasonal component keeps the job interesting and offers variety with the opportunity to undertake further training and development.
You won't be stuck in the maintenance workshop. You will attend breakdowns on any of our many farms where the views are truly stunning all year round and farm staff appreciate your ability to get them back growing the world's best cherries.
The Team
You will join a dedicated and talented maintenance team of 4, reporting to our Assets and Logistics Manager, supported by our In-House Engineering and mentor our mechanical technician.
Our Operations Manager, Facilities Manager and Farm Managers are also on hand to guide you.
Your Experience
The successful applicant will be reliable, honest and self-motivated.
Australian work authorisation is required for this position.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
* Hold a diesel mechanic/technician trade qualification
* Have 3-5 years post qualification experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of farm / agricultural equipment
* Strong computer skills are required to ensure completion of work orders, accurate reporting and necessary records for compliance and reports for our finance team.
* Proficiency in maintenance software systems is required together with a strong attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure down time is kept to a minimum and our fleet is reliable and returned to our farms as soon as practicable.
* You will be a problem solver who has a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Current drivers' licence
* Current forklift licence preferred
* Strong fault-finding and repair skills with a mechanically minded approach
* Excellent work ethic
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing demands
