THE ROLE
This is an exciting role in an established technical consulting team supporting a rapidly growing ASX-listed company. This will see you work with new technology and use your innovative thinking to deliver solutions and contribute to the overall success of the business.
The consulting engineer is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery, profitability and strategic growth of our technical services through alignment with the company’s values, technical excellence and supporting business development.
The primary aspects of the role include:
o Civil infrastructure and building condition assessments
o Site inspection, testing and analysis
o Materials durability assessments and planning
o Remediation specifications
o Corrosion management and cathodic protection design
o Asset maintenance strategies
o Working with our Spatial team to deliver 3D reality asset models for digital delivery of condition assessments and defect management
o Prototype and trial innovative technology solutions to help deliver value to our company and clients
o Help to lead the digitisation of the business workflow by adopting and utilising new software
o Project Management
o Proposal writing and business development
o Client relationship management
There will be a requirement for typically short-term travel to sites to fulfill project requirements.
ABOUT YOU
You have relevant experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry with specific experience in concrete/steel structures. Inspection/asset management experience will strengthen your application.
You can build positive relationships with clients and understand their needs and expectations.
Naturally you are proactive and can assesses situations to recognise missing information and identify potential problems and suggest solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
o Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil / Structural or Materials Engineering, or related field;
o Relevant experience enabling you to have developed a range of relative knowledge and skills;
