About The Role
This role supports the planning, coordination and delivery of urban design and placemaking initiatives aligned with Council’s vision for a connected, liveable and thriving Sunshine Coast. You will play a key role in enabling effective design outcomes through strong administration, coordination and stakeholder support.
You will also provide high‑level, professional and confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Manager Design and Placemaking Services, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the branch.
Provide high‑level, professional and confidential executive support to the Manager Design and Placemaking ServicesAct as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, delivering responsive and professional customer serviceCoordinate day‑to‑day branch administration, including diaries, meetings, correspondence and follow‑up actionsPrepare accurate correspondence, reports, agendas and minutes, undertaking research and analysis as requiredManage procurement, purchasing and payment processes as a Financial Order Controller, ensuring compliance with Council requirementsSupport branch operations through effective record‑keeping, governance support and contribution to a collaborative, high‑performing team
About You
You’re a proactive and professional administrator who enjoys supporting leaders in a confidential, fast‑paced environment. Highly organised and customer‑focused, you bring sound judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence.
Certificate IV in Business Administration, Local Government or equivalent experienceExperience working in a professional environment handling confidential informationStrong organisational, time‑management and prioritisation skillsWell‑developed communication and customer service capabilityConfidence using Microsoft Office and corporate systems, including finance or records systemsA current C Class driver’s licence
