We are situated on a privately owned 140 acre headland on the coast 10 minutes south of Port Douglas or 25 minutes north of Palm Cove. Osprey's Restaurant is well known for its innovative food and panoramic views overlooking the Coral Sea. About the role
Experienced and creative Chefs are required to be part of our team. We are looking for someone who can be involved in the process of creating our menus, specials and ensuring professional operation, cohesion and presentation of our kitchen. Responsibilities
Help in the preparation and design of menus. Produce high quality dishes. Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way to a high standard.
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation Train kitchen staff and assist with working schedules Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards Requirements
At Least 1 year of experience as a Chef. Australian recognised qualifications Cert IV and above or equivalent
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures Flexibility with workdays and times as business dictates. Proven experience of kitchen and staff management
Familiar with industry’s best practices Intermediate level of computer literacy and inventory systems. Honesty, leadership and decision making skills
