About The Claremont Hotel:

Affectionately known as "The Mont," the Claremont Hotel is a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're after a hearty bistro meal, a drink with friends, or a casual catch-up with family, The Mont has something for everyone.

As part of the Federal Hospitality group, we pride ourselves on great food, a vibrant community spirit, and plenty of fun. Conveniently located on Main Road in Claremont, our recently renovated venue is a fantastic place to work and play.

What you can expect in a day in the role

The Bistro Supervisor supports the management team of The Mont across busy lunch and dinner services and will also assist other areas of the Hotel, including the Bar and Gaming floor. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bistro, including staff supervision, break management, and opening and closing procedures
* Leading the team by example and delivering outstanding customer service
* Managing stock and cash control
* Responding to customer enquiries and resolving complaints
* Assisting with bookings and coordinating large group reservations

What you'll bring to the role

If you have experience in food and beverage, a passion for exceptional service and an interest in progressing your hospitality career, you may be the perfect fit for our Bistro Supervisor role. You will also bring:

* Demonstrated capability in supervising shifts, coordinating teams, and training and motivating staff
* The ability to think on your feet and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
* Strong conflict resolution and relationship management skills
* Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
* A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificate, or the ability to obtain them
* Availability to work across lunch and dinner services, including split shifts, weekends and public holidays

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
