This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive team within a large and expanding global business on a 6-month temporary basis.
In this role as Payroll Officer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process and hit the ground running, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Processing end to end, multiple weekly and fortnightly payrolls accurately and on time for + employees.
- Interpreting relevant Awards and EAs to process payroll correctly.
- Attending payroll queries.
- Maintain pay records, associated time keeping data statistics, leave records and related
information.
- Assist in the processing of worker’s compensation claims.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of group certificates es.
- Monthly reconciling of payroll, PAYG and superannuation payments and authorised payroll deductions.
- Calculating termination pays.
- Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
- Processing of headcount, various leave reports and other employee reporting.
- Assist with wage subsidy application process and pay
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Payroll Officer position completing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll
- Experience with Pronto is highly regarded
- A highly motivated and experienced candidate that will hit the ground running and make an immediate impact
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable attitude
- Strong attention to detail and positive working approach
