Maintenance Gardener Officer Full Time Singleton Community Aged Care – For Purpose Aged Care Australia

We are looking for an experienced
Maintenance Officer
to assist in maintaining the building and grounds of this state-of-the-art building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required.
Responsibilities
Maintenance of building and grounds to a high standard
Assist with replacement or repairs as required
Supervise and monitor grounds and systems
Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service with respect to dignity and privacy
Be able to make decisions about costs and priorities and document a full plan for work to be completed
Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
Willingness to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
Excellent communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues
Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
Skills & Requirements for this Role
Experience in building maintenance and gardening, landscaping
Knowledge of Aged Care industry is desirable
Thorough understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs (OH&S; & Fire/Evacuation)
Be able to contribute to after-hours maintenance requirements from time to time
Be able to document a full plan for work to be completed
Essential
Victorian driver's license
Reliable, strong work ethic
Valid police check (less than 12 months old)
Preferred
Trade qualification e.g. Landscaping or OHS qualification is advantageous
