The Role
As the
Financial Accountant – Capital
, you will play a key role in optimising Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific's (DNAP) capital spend and strengthening financial governance across a significant asset base. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and broad stakeholder reach — ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, problem‑solving and partnering with the business.
You will work closely with operational teams, project managers, finance leaders and senior stakeholders to ensure capital processes are understood, followed and continuously improved. Your insights will directly influence capital allocation, forecasting accuracy and financial performance across the DNAP region.
You will
* Prepare consolidated DNAP capital governance reports with insights and commentary
* Lead monthly capital forecasting and support business teams to improve accuracy
* Review capital expenditure proposals and contribute to Capital Approval Panel meetings
* Drive improvements in capital approval systems, reporting tools and dashboards
* Manage fixed asset and leased asset accounting across the asset lifecycle
* Support month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations and audit requirements
What You'll Bring
You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high‑performance culture.
* Accounting/Commerce degree and CA or CPA qualification
* Strong capability in capital or fixed asset accounting, ideally within heavy industry
* Advanced analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
* Ability to explain accounting concepts clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
* Advanced Excel skills; SAP, HFM, IFRS16 or Blackline experience is an advantage
* Strong communication, resilience and stakeholder engagement skills
