Deliver authoritative and trusted advice on policy, legislation and program matters to the Minister, Director-General and Executive Leadership Team
Build and maintain high impact relationships with industry, conservation bodies and government partners to drive outcomes
Oversee the delivery of major programs that contribute to long term environmental protection and sustainable growth
Inspire a high performing and collaborative workforce and reinforce DETSI's leadership behaviours
Shape a proactive work program and lead significant legislative, policy, and organisational change
Ideal Candidate
A strong record of achievement in policy, legislation and large-scale program delivery
A dynamic leadership style that engages people, lifts performance and supports innovation and diversity
A confident, influential and collaborative communication approach, including proactive engagement with Ministers, executive leaders and stakeholders
The capacity to navigate complex environments with clarity, foresight and sound judgement
A commitment to partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in policy and program design
