Business Development Manager - Sealing and Industrial Solutions
An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Development Manager to join a market leader in industrial products and solutions, covering the Newcastle and Hunter region.
My client is one of Australia's leading national suppliers of specialised industrial solutions such as bearings, power transmission, sealing solutions, lifting and rigging equipment and fluid control. The company has a large national presence and is looking to expand their team for the new financial year.
Though the companies product portfolio is quite vast, they are looking for specialists within any of their above defined products.
About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and driving sales growth across a diverse portfolio of industrial products. You’ll work autonomously within a supportive team environment, representing a company renowned for its extensive range, technical expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve growth targets in the Newcastle and Hunter region
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the industrial, manufacturing, and engineering sectors
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their operational needs
Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to deliver best-in-class customer service
Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
About You
Proven experience in business development, account management, or sales within the industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sectors
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn a broad product portfolio (bearings, fasteners, power transmission, fluid power, tools, and more)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout the Newcastle and Hunter region
