Werribee Mercy Hospital, located just 25 km west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway, is a dynamic public general hospital offering a wide range of services, including surgical, maternity, orthopaedic, and a 24‐hour emergency department. Since opening in January 1994, the hospital has grown rapidly to meet the needs of Melbourne's fast‐growing western suburbs. A new emergency department is currently underway with the aim of completing it by late 2026, expanding treatment spaces from 33 to 67 including four new resuscitation bays, 16 short‐stay beds and 36 emergency care cubicles.
Position
We are currently seeking a Sonographer to support the team at Werribee. The public hospital provides a dynamic environment where you will be supported by an incredibly dedicated and collaborative team, led by flexible and supportive management working across operation theatres, a newly built emergency department and ICU. This position is offered on a full‐time or casual basis; hours will be Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with on‐call shift work and the occasional weekend shift.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
* Qualified Sonographer with ASAR Accreditation
* Competent with general US exams, obstetrics and MSK
* We also welcome dual qualified Sonographer/Radiographer candidates and can support their development.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to thrive in our team‐oriented environment.
* Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work effectively both independently and within a team.
