The Roles Stanbroke is currently seeking multiple skilled and motivated candidates to join our operations in the following positions: Quality Assurance Officer Mechanical Engineering Technician Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic Why Join Us? Exclusive Staff Discounts : Take advantage of excellent discounts on our meat products. 1/ Quality Assurance Officer Ensure adherence to our Quality Policy and all relevant regulatory requirements. Lead and support quality assurance programs across the site, including direction of laboratory operations. Conduct regular inspections of meat products and processing areas to identify and resolve any quality or hygiene issues. Supervise or oversee sampling and testing of meat products to verify compliance with required quality and safety standards. Stay up to date with regulatory manuals, standards, and industry requirements. Work closely with QA staff, production teams, lab personnel, and management to maintain product integrity. Communicate effectively with government departments (DAFF), Aus-Meat, and customers on quality-related matters. Coordinate and take part in both internal and external audits of quality systems. Monitor hygiene and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Identify potential contamination or biosecurity risks within the production process and implement preventive or corrective actions. Key Requirements: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field, plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience; OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the formal qualification. Solid experience in QA systems and technical roles within the meat or food industry, including HACCP. Strong understanding of customer audit processes and regulatory compliance. Skilled in developing and maintaining quality management systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communicator with AUS-MEAT qualifications (Beef Specification Certification highly regarded). Proactive, team-oriented, and tech-savvy, with experience in Microsoft Office and QA platforms like ILeader. 2/ Mechanical Engineering Technician Preparing mechanical layouts, maintenance documentation, and equipment plans to support operations within Stanbroke’s beef processing facility. Assisting engineering staff with the maintenance, upgrade, and optimisation of processing machinery, conveyors, pumps, and production systems used in meat processing operations. Identifying and arranging suitable tools, spare parts, and mechanical equipment required for plant maintenance and operational activities. Carrying out installation, adjustment, and testing of mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and production machinery across the processing plant. Estimating material requirements, equipment usage, and maintenance resources for plant repairs and operational projects. Conducting machinery inspections, operational testing, and fault diagnosis to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency. Recording maintenance information, operational data, and technical details relating to plant equipment and processing systems. Coordinating preventative maintenance and repair schedules for machinery and equipment used throughout the processing facility. Ensuring all mechanical works comply with workplace safety requirements, operational standards, and food processing regulations. Key Requirements: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in a relevant field, plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience; OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute the qualification. Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills Preventative maintenance and repair coordination skills Knowledge of workplace safety and food processing standards Technical reporting and data recording skills Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities 3/ Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic Interpreting technical drawings, system specifications, and plant layouts to support the installation and maintenance of refrigeration and airconditioning systems within Stanbroke’s beef processing facility. Installing brackets, pipework, and refrigeration lines used for chilled rooms, processing areas, cold storage facilities, and production equipment. Maintaining and repairing refrigeration and airconditioning equipment including compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, switches, gauges, and refrigerant systems used throughout the processing plant. Connecting and fitting refrigeration pipework and cooling system components using welding, brazing, soldering, and related installation techniques. Conducting pressure testing and leak detection on refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Testing refrigeration and airconditioning systems and adjusting controls to maintain required operating temperatures within production and storage areas. Evacuating and recharging refrigeration systems with refrigerant in accordance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements. Diagnosing faults and carrying out repair and overhaul works on refrigeration systems to minimise downtime and maintain continuous plant operations. Reassembling and adjusting refrigeration equipment following servicing and repair activities. Recording system faults, maintenance works completed, and corrective actions undertaken in accordance with company maintenance procedures. Key Requirements: AQF Certificate III or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant field, plus at least 1 year of relevant work experience; OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute the qualifications. Experience working with refrigeration and cooling systems in industrial or processing environments.
