Warehouse & Distribution Operations Manager
We are an established and growing boutique gelato business based in Maleny, seeking a capable and hands-on Warehouse & Distribution Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day warehouse and distribution activities.
This is a practical role suited to someone who enjoys working in a small team, balancing on-the-ground operational work with coordination and planning responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with the Production Manager to ensure freezer storage is organised and managed
Overseeing daily operations in the warehouse facility to ensure products are packed and dispatched to schedule
Coordinating warehousing, stock control, and inventory records
Supervising packing processes and ensuring labelling, quality, and presentation standards are met
Planning and coordinating local delivery runs, including occasional direct deliveries
Managing relationships and bookings with third-party freight partners
Maintaining cold-chain standards and ensuring vehicles and storage areas are clean and organised
Coordinating and guiding a small team, while promoting strong hygiene, safety, and food-handling practices
About you:
Experience in food production, warehousing, logistics, or similar small business operations
Comfortable with both office-based coordination and physical, hands-on work
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Confident using basic computer systems for order management and inventory tracking
Current driver's licence and confidence driving a delivery vehicle
Experience with chilled or frozen food distribution
Understanding of food safety standards (e.g. HACCP, hygiene and safety requirements)
