About the Role As a Disability Support Worker in Supported Independent Living (SIL), you will support people with disabilities in shared housing or their own homes, providing personal care and daily living assistance.
The role involves working across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities Support clients by integrating digital tools like iPads into routines to enhance communication and recreationAvailability for sleepover shifts is requiredSupport clients with complex needs using proactive, evidence-based strategies and clear communicationImplement person-centred active and behavioural support plans, demonstrating initiative and flexibilityAssist with personal care routines such as bathing, shaving, and toiletingEncourage community participation, including 1-on-1 support within the communitySkills & Experience Hold an unrestricted NSW driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicleWillingness to drive a company van for transportation if requiredFlexibility to work throughout the week, including public holidaysBasic technology skills on mobile and desktop platformsCurrent First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) or willingness to obtainSuccessful candidates must clear all relevant probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
