Disability Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support for participants with disabilities, including those who are wheelchair-bound.
* Perform PEG feeding and other complex care tasks with professionalism and care.
* Assist participants with a range of mental health challenges, ensuring their emotional and psychological well-being.
* Promote independence, social inclusion, and a safe environment for participants.
* Provide personal care, transport assistance, and help with daily activities.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
* First Aid certificate
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current Police Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Completion of required NDIS Modules
* Valid working rights in Australia
* Minimum 1 year of experience in disability and mental health support
* Experience with PEG feeding and wheelchair-bound participants
