About the Opportunity
This is an excitingopportunity to drive paediatric cancer researchforward. In this role, you'll lead the preparation and submission of grantapplications to secure vital funding, while also supportingscientific communications through drafting and editing manuscripts, abstracts,and policy papers. Additionally, you will provide occasional support forcommunication with advisory groups, governance committees, and externalpartners to ensure clear, accurate, and impactful messaging.
About You
* Post graduate qualifications in a science, health or researchrelated discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, writing and successfullysecuring research funding for competitive grants in the health or biomedicalsector. Familiarity with Australian funding schemes highly regarded.
* Ability to synthesise complex scientific literature and data intoclear, compelling written content for diverse audiences.
* Proven experience writing, editing, and proofreading scientificand health research materials, including publications, policy papers, andadvocacy documents.
* Excellentwritten communication skills, with a track record of producing clear, precise,and well-structured scientific and policy content.
* Flexible, adaptable with excellent time management skills.
* Strong initiative, self-motivation and ability to workautonomously and as part of a team .
Employment Conditions
This position is a fixed termcontract role in a part-time (0.6FTE) capacity. Salary is basedTechnical and Professional Scale (TAP 8) dependant on experience. Superannuationof 12% and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
