**The Position**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the design tasks assigned by direct reports that will include particular responsibility for the Discipline Services and the coordination with other services disciplines as applicable under guidance and supervision from a direct report / Senior Lighting Designer
- Attend and contribute to design and innovation workshops
- Monitor and support CAD team/s to make certain drawings and other material is prepared in accordance with the design intent and the NDYLIGHT quality standards
- Prepare lighting deliverables which include, but are not limited to, lighting layouts, luminaire schedule, reports, advice notices, lighting calculations, etc
- Coordinate and communicate with other parties on the project's team/s such as contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors, architects, inter designers, engineers, etc
- Actively manage and engage with lighting suppliers
- Take part in personal and professional development training as required
- Review technical submissions by Contractors and Sub-contractors against the specified requirements
- Review the quality of construction against the specified requirements
- Responsible for ensuring that NDY's Quality System is followed in all daily activities
- Ensure NDY's Quality System is implemented and maintained on projects
- Provide input for job costing, e.g., periodical timesheets, fee allocations and charges, work percentage complete, forecast work required
- Participate in client-facing activities such as design workshops, design team meetings etc
- Co-ordinate your commitments to meet project deadlines and cost requirements
- Responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.

Ideally you will have:

- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with other staff/colleagues, direct reports and other members of the design and client teams
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and affect change
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Good team player attitude
- Confident brainstorming skills -with respect to thinking outside the box with other designers
- Enjoying contributing to developing a business and strong commercial acumen are also necessary for this role.
