Cook / Junior Chef (Permanent Part-Time 32–36 hrs)

Roster: Tuesday to Saturday | One Friday night only (finish approx. 8:30pm)
Pay: $27–$31 per hour + super (aligned to experience & responsibilities)
Merak GF Café is a busy, well-established 100% gluten-free café in Redland Bay. We are looking for a reliable, experienced Cook / Junior Chef to join our professional kitchen team in a stable, long-term permanent part-time role (32–36 hours per week).

What you will be doing
* Cook and plate menu items to a high standard
* Work across breakfast, lunch and dinner service
* Follow established recipes, systems and prep lists
* Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
* Daily prep, stock rotation and kitchen organisation
* Place stock orders to set par levels (approved suppliers)
* Receive and check deliveries
* Work positively within a team during busy service
Our menu includes breakfasts, burgers, pizzas, nachos, salmon, rice bowls and café classics.
Gluten-free experience is not required — full training provided.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Cook / Commis / Junior Chef or a capable 2nd year apprentice
* Confident working to recipes and kitchen systems
* Reliable, punctual, professional presentation
* Strong hygiene and food safety standards
* Able to travel reliably to Redland Bay (4165)
* Australian work rights required
