Locum Occupational Therapist - late January/early February
* Late January/early February for 2-3 months + possible extension
* Return flights covered and FREE accommodation
* Community focus with some inpatients (80-90% community)
Experienced Occupational Therapist required for this Northern Territory hospital. You will join a team of clinicians and cover the following caseload.
Community
* Generalist with paediatric experience (higher paediatric caseload)
* Paediatric assessment to support accessing NDIS early intervention (ADOS trained preferred)
* Adult generalist (equipment, home modifications)
* Aged care (equipment, home modifications, MyAged Care experience preferred)
* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families (preferred)
* Experience delivering specialist outreach services to remote communities (preferred)
Hospital
* Generalist with hand therapy experience
* ED – Hands/head injury
* Ward – subacute with 2 rehab beds (predominantly stroke, fractures)
* Paediatrics ward – developmental assessments
* Outpatients – hand therapy
Additional Information
* You must be confident working with minimal support
* Experience working with Aboriginal clients preferred
* 85% of the caseload is Indigenous, with 50% coming from remote communities
* Enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and regional nature
