Role Details:Perilya is seeking an experienced, multi-skilled Maintenance Operator to support and maintain the presentation, cleanliness, and amenity of both the mine site and Perilya-owned residential assets.
This is a dedicated, standalone role focused on improving how Perilya presents itself on and off site. It is not a reactive maintenance position and not an auxiliary role to existing gardening or grounds teams. The core duties of this role align with the scope outlined below however, the specific job role may change from time to time.
What You'll Be Doing:
Core Responsibilities:
* Street sweeping of all Perilya roadways (mine site and residential areas).
* Management of rubbish bin collection across site and residential properties.
* Painting and upkeep of common infrastructure, including:
* Walkways and pathways
* Handrails and safety barriers
* Light poles, bollards, and pedestrian crossings
* Ownership, operation, and care of allocated plant and equipment.
Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Basic road repairs and maintenance, including minor re-bitumen and patch works.
* Proficient operation of plant and machinery, including:
* Street sweepers
* Rubbish trucks
* Bobcat / skid steer loaders
* Excavators (various sizes)
* Graders
What You Will Bring:
* Proven experience operating Bobcats, excavators, graders, and other plant machinery
* Demonstrated capability in basic road repairs, including minor resurfacing and patch works.
* Proficient in painting roadways, pathways, footpaths, and external surfaces.
* Skilled in the application of paint using a range of techniques, tools, and equipment.
* Current HR driver's licence or higher (mandatory).
* Demonstrated ability to operate heavy vehicles and plant safely in live operational and residential environments.
* Ability to work independently, plan tasks, and manage daily work programs.
* Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and pride in presentation.
