Responsibilities
* Lead the reliability and security management of the Philippine interconnected transmission grid via HVDC, supporting the Division Head with operational planning, outage coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment across the power system.
* Outage Planning & HVDC Coordination: Lead the evaluation and scheduling of Luzon–Visayas and Mindanao–Visayas HVDC shutdowns, performing risk assessments and reserve adequacy checks to maintain system stability.
* Stakeholder & Regulatory Management: Serve as the primary liaison with IEMOP and government agencies (DOE, ERC) to manage market model updates, constraint enforcement, and technical regulatory compliance.
* Process Improvement Leadership: Drive cross-functional project teams to enhance operational protocols, manage digital transformation initiatives, and refine grid standards based on system developments.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
* Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer (REE). (MS, MBA, or MA units are a plus)
* At least 3 years of experience in power systems, project management, and leading cross-functional teams
* Proficient Power System Analysis: Advanced knowledge of grid reliability, reserve assessment, and HVDC operational impacts
* Demonstrated ability to define scopes, track deliverables, and lead change management in a technical environment
* Skilled in preparing technical reports and switching procedures for government and market operators
* Ability to guide cross-functional groups and influence decision-making during critical grid interventions
* Strong interpersonal skills for navigating complex relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Proactive approach to identifying operational risks and implementing effective mitigation measures
