The UnitingCare Intensive Family Support Service (IFS) based in Underwood is searching for a Child and Family Case Worker to join the team. The Child and Family Case Worker will lead case management with families in a fast paced, high volume work environment to identify and prioritise their concerns.
This Role Involves
* Providing a mix of therapeutic and in-home practical care to support complex, vulnerable and often hard to reach families.
* Actively engage, assess and develop collaborative case plans to ensure we are prioritising the families' presenting concerns in turn preparing them to be referred to specialist support services.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Human Services or Psychology.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in case management and child protection - working directly with families, children, young people with complex needs.
* A current knowledge and understanding of Domestic Family Violence and the impact on children.
* An understanding of First Nations peoples, cultures and society, and the issues which impact them.
* A commitment to culturally safe practice.
* A sound knowledge and understanding in Attachment Theory, Trauma-informed practice, and Child Development.
* Current QLD working with children check (Blue Card).
* Current open QLD drivers' licence.
* Eligibility to work in Australia.
