As a senior social worker within our team, you will be responsible for managing complex cases involving individuals children carers and families who require support guidance and care.
You will exercise sound professional judgement when making decisions about risk accountability and ensure effective engagement with fluctuating circumstances and capacities even in challenging situations such as hostility and risk.
You will use assessment procedures thoughtfully to address presenting needs and ensure proportionate assessments are completed to maximize participation.
You will employ professional judgement to promote independence provide support protection and take preventative action ensuring safety while balancing rights and risks.
* Take the lead in delivering positive interventions to prevent deterioration in health wellbeing whilst safeguarding people at risk of abuse or neglect
* Undertake complex assessments and planning for safeguarding and support colleagues by utilizing safeguarding skills in line with current policies and procedures
* Contribute to practice development promoting and sustaining a learning culture and mentoring less experienced staff
* Provide formal reflective supervision and guidance on casework to less experienced qualified staff
* Support students and newly qualified social workers in their development
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification have an understanding of relevant legislation and be registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
