Job Description
* Producing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
* Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
* Tendering and procurement: managing the prequalification stage, preparing the tender list and preliminaries, conducting pre‐tender estimates, tender analysis, producing the tender report and compiling contractual documents.
* Managing post‐contract cost variances and the change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager.
* Progress claim assessments on site for drawings and the plan.
* Performing cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
* Producing monthly post‐contract cost reports for the line manager to present to the client and inputting into value engineering.
* Knowledge management: ensuring that key information and learning from each commission is entered into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
* Seeking opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and reporting such opportunities to the appropriate line manager.
* Following project governance processes and systems used throughout the project and cascading Turner & Townsend cost management procedures to relevant staff.
* Leading a cost management team where appropriate, ensuring delivery of all accountabilities.
* Adhering to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
* Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
* Sound experience in cost planning and contract administration.
* Five or more years of experience in cost management roles with a focus on consultancy.
* Experience managing clients, contractors and consultants directly.
* Preferably RICS and AIQS accredited.
* Preferred experience with CostX.
* Intermediate to high‐level MS Excel proficiency.
* Must possess a valid driving licence.
