About The Role
We are seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our team at Launceston Airport, Tasmania on a full-time basis. This role is critical to the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our air freight uplift activities.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead daily operations, oversee frontline teams, and ensure service, safety, and performance targets are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating and driving the performance and safety of truck drivers, forklift operators, and dockhands across the depot, with a strong focus on airside ground handling operations.
This is an afternoon shift role, operating Monday to Friday from 1:00pm to 9:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operational activities across the air freight uplift operationEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures, including regulatory requirements (CISC and CASA)Oversee airside ground handling operations and site coordinationManage RACA site compliance, including security screening requirements at the Launceston siteLead site safety programs, risk assessments, and reportingCoordinate workflow to meet service and customer requirementsSupport, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance outcomesMonitor productivity, KPIs, and reporting requirementsLiaise with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
About You
Previous experience in an operations, supervisory, or team leader roleStrong leadership and communication skillsExperience within air freight, logistics, or a regulated operational environment preferredSound understanding of safety, compliance, and audit requirementsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentForklift Licence (LF) requiredMR Licence advantageousAbility to obtain a Federal Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset
