Key Responsibilities Job Purpose
Responsible for reviewing Transmission Customer's (Generator and Load) Facilities Study report, preparing detailed project components for Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) application in coordination with EDD Divisions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
I. Undertakes the review of Transmission Customer's Facilities Study report by providing inputs and recommendations to comply with NGCP Service Application grid requirements under Energy Virtual One-Stop Shop (EVOSS) Law of the Department of Energy (DOE).
II. Prepares detailed project components of substation and transmission line projects for ERC application during planning stage that EDD includes substation electromechanical equipment and materials, structural/civil/architectural works, protection, control, and communication components in coordination with Divisions.
III. Consolidates and monitors various documents received from EDD Divisions, Transmission Planning Department and other functional group i.e. OP-RRAD, SO and O&M as input in the preparation of Facilities Study evaluation report and preparation of detailed project components.
IV. Undertakes the scheduling and monitoring of the conduct of construction quality and workmanship standards orientation in collaboration with EDD Divisions for projects implemented in advanced by the Transmission Customers at NGCP facilities.
V. Facilitates conduct of technical meetings and discussions with other inter-functional group(i.e. SO, O&M and OP-RRAD) to account operational conditions and additional technical requirements in the existing NGCP facilities to include in the Facilities Study evaluation report.
VI. Prepares methodologies, memoranda, reports, correspondences and minutes of meetings.
VII. Prepares necessary documentary requirements for internal audit of Tech MD and external audit of DOE and TransCo in coordination with EDD Divisions.
VIII. Conducts research on latest state of the art technology and development in the design field of substation and transmission line projects.
IX. Conduct site inspection and leads the team formed to witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or pre-shipment inspections, when necessary, to ensure compliance to design requirements and specifications.
X. Attends seminar/training for knowledge and productivity enhancement.
Position Requirements
Education, Applicable License/Certification(s), and Professional Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering
Licensed Electrical/Electronic Engineer
2 years of relevant experience
Has knowledge and skills in the application of theories, standards, practices and concepts in the design field of substation and transmission lines project. Able to recommend technical decisions and evaluate alternatives.
Possesses leadership ability to handle or lead multi-disciplinary Team
Possesses good verbal and written communication skills to handle presentation, preparation and review of technical documents and reports and various correspondences. Has knowledge in CAD software (i.e., AutoCAD, ZWCad etc).
Benefits 2-3% of monthly salary upon the start of salary, one conference travel allowance per month, maximum of 12 days coastline pay off, long term employee benefits after 3 years from the date of joining.
