Description
As a Payroll Compliance & Remediation Analyst, you will be responsible for detailed investigation and calculation work as part of a large remediation program. Your focus will be interpreting complex Awards and EBAs, analysing historical payroll data, and building accurate remediation outcomes using strong Excel capability.
This role suits someone who enjoys deep analytical work, structured methodologies, and applying industrial instrument logic to real‑world payroll problems.
Analyse large payroll data sets, including cleansing, validating, and reconciling historical information
Build and maintain Excel‑based calculation models (lookups, pivot tables, formulas, data transformation)
Apply Award and EBA provisions to rebuild historical pay scenarios
Identify drivers of underpayments and support the development of remediation outcomes
Work with project managers, payroll, HR, and external advisors to ensure accuracy and consistency
Provide clear documentation, methodologies, and audit trails for all calculations
Profile
Strong Excel capability
Experience interpreting and applying complex Award and EBA clauses
Proven capability with payroll data analysis, investigation, and reconciliation
High attention to detail and comfort working through ambiguity
Ability to communicate findings clearly and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders
