About the role Co-ordinate crisis assessment and intervention, medication monitoring, counselling, psycho-education, liaison with carers and other service providers. Maintaining a close working relationship with the Mental Health Professionals working within the St Vincent’s Hospital Emergency Department, Safe Assessment Space (SAS), Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) and the mental health unit, Homeless Health Assertive Outreach team, crisis accommodation, NGO’s and other community support services is essential. Monitor, manage and escalate appropriately any change in mental state and risk status. Provision of consumer advocacy, ensuring individual needs, issues and concerns are appropriately addressed. About you Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence. Demonstrated experience working on an Acute Care Team within a Community Mental Health Service and experience working as part of a multidisciplinary health care team. Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality consumer care and services to support families and carers of people with mental illness with a commitment to provision of recovery-focused holistic mental health interventions. Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. Why work at St Vincent’s?
