Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for two PhD Students located in Townsville, QLD, Australia.
The successful candidates will undertake advanced research in areas related to:
• Robotics and Mechatronic Systems
• Intelligent Control and AI-driven Algorithms
• Motion Simulation and Human-Centric Engineering Systems
• Embedded Systems and Experimental Validation
The roles involve developing and implementing advanced control strategies, designing and executing experiments, analysing complex data, and contributing to high-quality academic publications.
The PhD students will work closely with academic supervisors, participate in laboratory-based research activities, and present findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Systems, or related fields
• Proficiency in research methodologies and analytical problem-solving
• Experience with programming (MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar)
• Familiarity with control systems, AI, embedded systems, or system modelling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and eligibility to enrol in a PhD program
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team
• Prior research experience or publications are advantageous
