We are currently seeking an Auto Electrician at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) – Coppabella Mine.Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay thatproduce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
About the role:
As an Auto Electrician, you'll play a vital role on the Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will complete high quality planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody's mining equipment. You will also comply with all site and statutory regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Compliance with site Safety and Health Management system requirements (including risk management, SOP's, permits, work instructions etc.).
* Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes
* Maintain a safe, clean and healthy work environment.
* Minimise production downtime
* Participate in and complete shift change, site meetings, communications or reporting requirements to the required standard.
* Actively engage in the in the Continuous Improvement Program
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7/7 roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle. Camp accommodation is provided. Employees residing locally may be eligible for the Living Away From Home or Accommodation Assistance allowance, depending on circumstances.
About you:
The successful candidate will have an Auto Electrician Trade Qualification and proven knowledge conducting safety inspections and completing JSA's, Risk assessments and Permits. They will also have;
* Previous experience working on prime and mobile equipment including but not limited to, Cat, Hitachi and Liebherr Hydraulic excavators and trucks, Pit dewatering pumps and Cat Ancillary support machines.
* Air Conditioning system servicing and licence.
* Experience with computerised maintenance management systemsincludingSAP
* Excellent diagnostic and schematic reading knowledge,
* Defect identification and scope creation skills.
* High level of initiative and flexibility.
* Demonstrated ability to work on a rotating shift or permanent basis.
