Description How will I help? The Technology Domain Owner is a key leadership role within CCS Technology for Group Operations, responsible for driving strategy, business engagement, risk management, finance, and innovation across Business Village Technology. Acting as the single point of contact for technology needs, this role plays a crucial part in shaping transformation efforts within Group Operations. Working in partnership with Group Customer Operations Technology and CCS (Customer & Corporate Services) Business, the Technology Domain Owner focuses on improving efficiency through Simplification, Digitisation, and Automation. Collaboration with business project teams, the CTO, solution providers, and technology risk teams is essential to ensuring effective implementation and alignment with organisational goals. This role involves defining and overseeing the technical roadmap, managing system performance, and optimizing software licensing and operational expenses. It requires senior expertise in Appian and workflow transformation, leading large-scale automation programs while ensuring adherence to engineering best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Additionally, the Technology Domain Owner drives workforce planning, capability development, and stakeholder engagement for the WBC Workflow Strategy. They will be instrumental in growing the Appian capability within the Westpac Appian Centre of Excellence and establishing a Workflow community of practice. The position is based in Sydney, requiring office attendance three days a week. What do I need? Extensive experience in operations, process automation, and business transformation. Strong leadership skills, including stakeholder management up to GM level. Senior-level expertise in Appian and workflow transformation. Proven track record in DevSecOps, system integration, and enterprise application engineering. Deep knowledge of AI for digitisation and modern engineering practices (TDD, CI/CD, automation). Background in strategic workforce planning, capability development, and financial services. Why join us?
