Role: Quality Assurance Technician (Lab Environment) – Fixed Term

We're seeking a Quality Assurance Technician (Lab Environment) on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support our GNE site at West Footscray. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of analytical testing across raw materials, oils, and finished products.
This role contributes by:
• Performing analytical laboratory testing to ensure products meet food safety, quality, and specification requirements
• Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining laboratory documentation, test methods, and analytical reports
• Supporting HACCP activities, GMP implementation, and internal audits across the site
• Identifying and escalating out-of-specification results to QA and operational teams
• Maintaining laboratory equipment, consumables, and calibration to ensure a safe and compliant lab environment
About you:
• Experience working in a laboratory or quality environment, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG
• Familiarity with analytical testing, data interpretation, and reporting
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality systems, or a strong willingness to learn
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and follow procedures
• A collaborative communicator who can work effectively with QA and operations teams
(This role operates across a rotating two-shift roster: day shift 7am–3pm and afternoon shift 3pm–11pm.)
