An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the EATS Program for a Simulator Technician. Under the guidance of the Senior Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the conduct of preventative and corrective maintenance on the Australian Super Hornet and Growler Simulator equipment to meet the training availability required. High levels of dedication and attention to detail are critical for this position.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Preventative and corrective maintenance, including scheduled servicing, component removal / installation, visual system alignment, mechanical alignments and calibrations, network diagnostics and system troubleshooting.
- Perform power-on / system initialisation and preparation activities to ensure training devices are ready for training.
- Component and sub-component workshop repairs.
- Support of tactical operations flight trainer recurrent / special evaluation activities
- Ensure compliance with Raytheon Australia Environmental, Health and Safety policies, plans and procedures as applicable to all maintenance performed.
- Maintain Foreign Object / Control awareness and compliance with control systems.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with EATS Maintenance Management Plan (MMP).
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Certificate IV Avionics or Information Technology.
- Prior relevant experience required in similar role
- Training courses on simulator specific systems / technology (Desirable)
- Sound understanding and appreciation of safety requirements.
The successful applicant must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Defence Security Clearance as needed.
