Your new role
As a Mine Geologist, you'll play a key role in ensuring geological integrity and maximising coal recovery through:
* Conducting pit inspections with a focus on resource recovery
* Applying advanced knowledge of loss and dilution mechanisms
* Performing highwall mapping and geological modelling
* Using Measure While Drill data in Maptek Vulcan
* Producing concise "Geological Plan on a Page" documents
* Supporting reconciliation processes and reporting
* Collaborating with operations and technical teams
* Maintaining strong safety standards and compliance
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience as a Mine Geologist in open-cut coal
* Intermediate to advanced Maptek Vulcan skills
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Strong safety knowledge and commitment
* Experience with pit inspections and geological modelling
* Familiarity with reconciliation processes
* Ability to work independently and within a team
