The Opportunity
This position supports our expanding water projects across NSW and Australia, marking a pivotal step in our ability to support clients with complex infrastructure challenges. We seek a Principal Civil Engineer – Water Pipelines to join any of our Australian offices, contributing to our national water team. You will leverage your experience in water and wastewater design, including conveyance pipelines, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and water facilities. Building strong client relationships and understanding their core business will enable you to provide tailored solutions and services both on and off-site.

About You
You are a Chartered Professional Engineer with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a solid understanding of water/wastewater industry standards and best practices in both field and professional services environments. Highly organized with excellent technical and communication skills, you possess the leadership qualities to mentor a team and deliver successful project outcomes.
You will also have:
* Expertise across various civil engineering aspects, including study involvement, budgeting, scheduling, scope management, development, detailed design, analysis, construction support, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
* Experience in scoping and developing engineering work packages, including time-based estimates.
* An interest in strengthening existing client relationships and building new ones as a trusted technical advisor.
* The ability to understand our clients’ core business and ensure our services meet their expectations.
* A collaborative working style that integrates expertise across disciplines.
* Relevant industry knowledge, innovation, and thought leadership.
