The Assurance Team is responsible for monitoring the performance of the NDIS from the perspectives of the Queensland Government, the Queensland community, and most importantly, Queenslanders with disabilities who rely on high-quality and safe NDIS services.The Principal Analyst leads the analysis and oversight of care and support sector service systems, including data extraction from large datasets, data management, analysis, monitoring, and reporting. This role suits a client-focused individual with proven data analysis skills, critical thinking, and effective communication abilities, capable of working in high-pressure environments to achieve quality outcomes.Please refer to the role profile for full details.Key Responsibilities of the Principal AnalystProvide informed advice to the department and government on complex operational, program, policy, and legislative issues related to disability reform and the broader care and support sector in Queensland, focusing on:Outcomes achieved for people with disabilityPublic confidence in disability service systemsProductivity and value for money of Queensland Government's investmentsSustainability of disability service systems in QueenslandUtilize contemporary methods to extract relevant information from large datasets and identify insights from various sources.Critically analyze data to build evidence on service access equity and progress in implementing disability reform initiatives.Prepare and contribute to written materials such as cabinet submissions, executive correspondence, briefing notes, reports, speech notes, and information papers related to programs and initiatives.Communicate complex evidence and information clearly to diverse audiences.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support policy and program development and implementation related to disability services.Support data custodian responsibilities by managing data systems, ensuring data security and privacy, records management, and data-sharing arrangements; oversee the team's data and reporting resources for accessibility and consistency.Assist the department as a custodian of data contributed to the National Disability Data Asset, leading efforts to become an accredited user and advising on its use to inform team work.As a senior team member, undertake tasks assigned by the Manager or Director, fostering innovation and efficient service delivery in a dynamic environment.Model leadership to promote a positive work culture aligned with public sector values; provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced team members.Applications remain current for 12 months.Occupational group Administration
