Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Educator to deliver high-quality vocational training and assessment services to students interested in pursuing a career in the Mental Health industry as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
About the Role
* Design engaging course content on Aboriginal Primary Mental health care, ensuring student learning outcomes are maximised.
* Provide individualised support and mentorship to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students throughout their learning journey.
* Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning experiences.
* Collaborate with the education team to continuously improve course materials and teaching methods using adult learning principles.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, research and regulations to ensure relevance and contribute to positive impacts on students and the broader community.
Requirements
* Hold a qualification in a healthcare-related field.
* Have significant experience (2+ years) in Community Services Mental Health Industry and a sound understanding of Aboriginal culture.
* Possess the most current version of Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAA/TAE).
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with Aboriginal students.
* Show strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities.
* Display passion for making a positive impact on students' lives and the broader community.
