Overview We are looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Support & Network Technician to join a fast-paced, client-focused team.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong troubleshooting mindset, broad technical exposure, and a desire to continue learning and growing in a dynamic environment.You will provide both remote and on-site support across a range of systems, working with clients to resolve technical issues while also contributing to the stability and evolution of their IT infrastructure.
While this role involves standard IT support tasks, there is a strong emphasis on networking-ideal for someone with a background in environments such as Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
Location: Oakleigh, Melbourne • Workplace Requirement: Minimum 3 days in-office per week • Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM • Driver's License: Required - must have access to personal transport for client site visits • Salary: $75,000 plus super Key Responsibilities Provide Level 1 and 2 support across hardware, software, and network environmentsConfigure and commission recent equipment, software, and servicesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues through structured processesMonitor systems and roll out updates or patches as requiredPerform scheduled client site visits for installation, diagnosis, and supportRespond to client requests via phone, email, and ticketing systemsDocument troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and updates clearlyEscalate complex issues when appropriate while maintaining end-to-end responsibility for the ticket lifecycleContribute to internal and client-facing documentation and knowledge basesMaintain accurate timekeeping and service records What We're Looking For Good Netwrok and Infrastrucuture knowledgeMinimum 2 years' experience in an IT support or troubleshooting environmentStrong networking knowledge - experience with routing, switching, VPNs, and firewallsBroad technical exposure across systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologiesStrong aptitude for learning new technologies and systems quicklyAbility to follow logical troubleshooting steps while thinking independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive, customer-first mindset with attention to detail and accountabilityPrevious experience in an MSP or similar environment (highly desirable)Legal right to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted work visa) Technical Experience (Preferred) Microsoft 365Networking (Cisco routing & switching, VPN)Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10/11Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID (Azure AD)Virtualisation - VMware and/or Hyper-VBackup & recovery - VeeamLinux administrationApple macOS supportMonitoring tools - CheckMK, Observium, Zabbix Additional Requirements Must be able to attend the office at least 3 days per week (non-negotiable)Must hold a valid Australian driver's licence and have reliable personal transport for travel to client sites when needed Why Join Us?
