We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Works Planning Manager to join our Planning & Infrastructure team at Launceston Airport.
This is a critical role responsible for integrating and optimising all airport works and infrastructure planning, ensuring projects, maintenance and operational activities are coordinated, efficient and minimise disruption to airport operations. You will play a key role in shaping how works are delivered across the airport, improving outcomes, reducing risk and enhancing the traveller experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage an integrated, airport-wide Program of Works, aligning capital projects, maintenance and operational activities
* Lead forward planning and scheduling, identifying interdependencies, constraints and opportunities to improve delivery efficiency
* Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure works are sequenced effectively and minimise operational disruption
* Provide schedule analysis, scenario planning and reporting to support decision-making and prioritisation
* Identify and manage program risks, constraints and operational impacts across a live airport environment
* Lead and coordinate Work Safety Officers allocation and oversight across projects
* Maintain and manage asset management systems (D365), GIS and CADD platforms, ensuring accurate and up-to-date asset data
* Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, scheduling methodology and program coordination
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* Proven experience in program planning, scheduling or project controls within infrastructure or capital works environments
* Strong expertise in planning tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, asset systems)
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-project environments with competing priorities
* Strong understanding of infrastructure delivery, asset management and operational constraints
* Experience identifying and managing project interdependencies, risks and constraints
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability, with a focus on practical, outcomes‐driven solutions
* Commercial awareness and understanding of cost, delivery and contractor impacts
