Our client is a growing FinTech based in Australia. They have a strong engineering ethos and are looking for a contract-based Developer to help shape the customer platform, delivering significant platform upgrades and improving the experience.
About the Role
The role is in a cross‐functional Agile team consisting of Software Engineers, Product Managers, UX, BA's, Data & Delivery/Scrum Master. This team values diverse opinions and continuously seeks ways to improve processes and tools.
Responsibilities
* Solid skills in building core web development technologies such as JavaScript, Typescript, React, HTML and CSS.
* Collaborate with a cross‐functional product development team to bring static designs forward, providing constructive feedback to optimise implementation.
* Implement features and UI iterations for existing frontend apps.
* Proficient understanding of XML, JSON and interacting with APIs.
* Implement best practices for web application design, performance and security.
* Provide guidance and assistance to the UI/UX development team.
* Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers and engineers.
Requirements
* 3–5 years of previous experience in a Back End Development role using Node.js.
* Several years experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Markdown, Node.js and GraphQL.
* Experience with modern React practices, such as hooks and functional components.
* Strong experience with AWS.
* Strong experience with GCP or Azure.
* Experience integrating with bespoke APIs, specifically with Redux store and React hooks.
* At least 5 years of previous experience in a Front‐End Development role using ReactJS.
