The Company This organisation is a growing, Australian-owned manufacturing company with 60 years in manufacturing and tailor-made solutions for construction, wholesale and retail. The Role We are seeking an experienced Plant/Factory Accountant to support financial performance at our client’s manufacturing site in the Western Suburbs. This role partners closely with the business to deliver accurate reporting, strong inventory control, and meaningful financial insights. Prepare the monthly P&L for the site, including journals, accruals, sales and freight reporting, and variance analysis Provide daily and weekly production, maintenance, labour, and performance reporting to operations Manage inventory accuracy, valuation, standard costing, BOMs, stocktakes, and revaluations Maintain cost models, work centre rates, routings, and ERP master data Review wages summaries, contractor invoices, and supplier set-ups for accuracy and compliance Support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure tracking, and profitability analysis Deliver financial analysis for plant performance, projects, and ad hoc reporting The Person At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or plant-based accounting role CPA/CA qualified or working towards Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, BOMs, and inventory management Hands-on experience with ERP systems with manufacturing and purchasing modules Proven skills in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Strong commercial mindset with the ability to partner effectively with operations Self-motivated, detail-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with site leadership and play a key role in driving operational and financial performance.
