About the role
As the Pressing Supervisor at Bendworx, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the pressing operations within our steel manufacturing facility in Wacol, Queensland. This full-time position involves leading a team of skilled operators to ensure the efficient and high-quality processing of our products.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate the work of the Pressing team to meet production targets and quality standards
* Provide hands-on training and support to Press Operators to maintain and improve their skills
* Monitor pressing equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repairs as needed
* Implement quality control measures to identify and rectify any pressing issues
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production workflow
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the pressing operations
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of pressing processes and procedures
What we're looking for
* Substantial experience (5+ years) in a pressing supervisor or lead presser role within the steel industry
* Strong technical knowledge of pressing equipment, techniques, and best practices
* Experience with CNC press brakes is essential for this role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, quality management systems, and manufacturing ERP software is required
* Excellent leadership and team management skills to motivate and develop your team
* Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
