The Health Economics, Policy, and Reimbursement (HEPR) function works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including governments, payers, providers, and patients, as a trusted partner. This role is critical in securing funding & reimbursement, delivering economic value, shaping healthcare policy, and enabling patient access to technologies that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
This is an individual contributor role, reporting into the Director - Healthcare Economics, Policy & Reimbursement for ANZ Region. We are flexible regarding this role's location and can accommodate remote work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create comprehensive market access strategies through pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modelling activities.
* Design and implement integrated approaches to payer value propositions from early development through loss of exclusivity.
* Communicate therapeutic area drugs/medical devices' unique attributes to external multi-stakeholders, ensuring their value proposition is recognized and maximized.
* Collaborate with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers, and decision makers to ensure fair changing reimbursement systems.
* Develop strategic studies focusing on end-customers to impact pricing, reimbursement, and market access favorably.
* Conduct quantitative and qualitative pricing research.
* Work with Health Economics/Outcomes Research to design pricing strategy.
Required Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree or postgraduate qualification with relevant experience.
- Proven experience in health economic program or project management roles within corporate environments with medical devices or pharmaceuticals industry.
- Essential health technology assessment experience in the Australian market.
