The Opportunity
A permanent full-time position has just become available for a Process Engineer to join our global headquarters in
Macquarie University
. In this role you will be developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes across the network for both new and commercially already available products.
Working within a matrixed and collaborative Process Engineering function you will support diverse customer groups such as supply chain and R&D, making an active contribution to Cochlear's mission of helping people around the world hear and be heard.
Your Responsibilities include
Develop stable and reliable manufacturing processes within Cochlear and at suppliers of manufactured components.
Support the supply chain and R&D project execution by developing and implementing safe, scalable, stable and robust manufacturing processes for new and commercially available products.
Ensure processes and associated documents comply with Cochlear QMS and international regulation (e.g., Wl, PFMEA).
Meet manufacturing strategy by relocating and duplicating processes across the network.
Meet business needs by delivering projects on time and on cost.
Review the PIP process as needed to improve compliance and project/launch outcomes.
Align the development and introduction of manufacturing technologies with Cochlear's long-term strategy.
Support the team's development strategy and budget resources to deliver against product, service and manufacturing plans.

About You
As we grow our operations we look for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to customers. In this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
Preferably 2+ years in a similar engineering role within a highly regulated industry.
Experience in process development or mechanical design.
Experience developing and introducing manufacturing processes and products internally or at an external supplier.
Experience in risk management methodology.
Experience in validation and verification of manufacturing processes.
