Pharmacist Assistant Grade 1 $64, $68,594.99 per annum

Pharmacist Assistant Grade 2 $68,594.99 – $70,161.91 per annum

Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 $68, $73,275.93 per annum

Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 $74, $81,969.92 per annum

About the Opportunity

What You'll be Doing

Assist the registered pharmacists in the provision of a range of Pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatient of the hospital.

Where You'll Be Working

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

The ongoing $830 million redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct is transforming the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation. This redevelopment will expand clinical services, enhance research and teaching facilities, and introduce state-of-the-art equipment and amenities.

* Must hold appropriate qualification as per the Health Employees' (State) Award for the following classifications: - Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1 - no formal qualifications required - Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 - holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certification III in Community Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 - holds a qualification in a relevant field up to the level of Certification III in Hospital and Community Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Grade 2 - holds a qualification in Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy
* Describe your experience with medication dispensing and inventory management in a hospital or healthcare setting. How do you ensure accuracy and compliance with safety standards?
* Hospital pharmacies often require strong teamwork and adaptability. Can you share an example of how you supported pharmacists or technicians during a high-pressure situation or when priorities changed suddenly?
