The roleAs a Senior Financial Accountant for the Adbri Group, you will be responsible for supporting Adbri's reporting requirements, participating in improvement initiatives and projects.This position plays a pivotal role in the corporate accounting team to deliver quality statutory, regulatory, and compliance reporting, maintain the integrity of financial records, and support the success of Adbri.You will report directly to the Senior Manager of Group Accounting.This role is based in Sydney. It is a full-time, permanent position that offers flexible work arrangements.ResponsibilitiesManage the General Ledger, including the preparation and maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare statutory financial reports and participate in the external audit process.Ensure compliance with and report monthly on Global Sarbanes-Oxley Financial Control procedures.Handle month-end parent company reporting for the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian and US accounting standards.Establish robust systems and protocols for monthly financial reporting to key stakeholders, ensuring compliance with reporting and regulatory standards.Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.Document and maintain key accounting policies, playing a key role in their design, development, and communication to ensure compliance.Collaborate closely with business divisions, providing expert advice on technical accounting matters to support strategic projects.What you will need to succeedCA/CPA qualificationExperience interpreting and applying Australian accounting standards, preferably in a Big 4 firmKnowledge of US GAAP is desirable5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in a large, multinational organizationProven ability to collaborate with Senior ManagementExperience working with non-finance functionsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools (TM1, SAC, Anaplan, SAP BI, Power BI)Experience in large process or profitability improvement projects is highly regardedOur businessAdbri Limited is a construction materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company that has been building a better Australia since 1882.
