Shehnaz Threading & Beauty Salon is seeking an experienced Senior Hairdresser to join their team in Nerang, Gold Coast. This is a full-time position, offering 38 hours per week across five days on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide expert advice on hair care, beauty products, and suitable hairstyles.
* Shampoo and condition hair, with a focus on maintaining scalp health.
* Perform chemical treatments such as hair colouring, straightening, and permanent waving.
* Execute precision haircuts using scissors, clippers, and razors to achieve client preferences.
* Style hair into dreadlocks, braids, and add hair extensions for enhanced looks.
* Trim and shape beards and moustaches to client specifications.
* Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a hygienic environment and sanitise all tools and equipment.
Client Management
* Arrange client appointments and manage scheduling effectively.
* Handle client payments and maintain accurate records.
* Driving business growth through building/maintaining client relationships
Specialised Services
* Clean, colour, cut, and style wigs and hairpieces as per client needs.
* Providing a wide array of specialised and tailored hair treatments (incl. foils, balayage, blow-drying and straightening etc.).
* Prescribing in-salon & after-salon hair care + sales of other retail products.
Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Hairdresser, and at minimum a Certificate 3 in Hairdressing or higher is essential. Applicants must also have:
* Exceptional communication & customer service skills.
* Proven leadership or management experience in a salon setting.
* The ability to work independently.
* A genuine passion for staying up to date with the latest hair trends and techniques.
