Rehabilitation Consultant - Psychologist, Social Worker, Rehabilitation Counsellor at IPAR, West Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
IPAR is a national occupational rehabilitation provider supporting people who may be living with an illness, disability, or injury. Our care is tailored to each individual, with a focus on workplace rehabilitation, counselling, injury prevention or finding recent employment. We work with clients to identify goals and provide psychological or physical supports to help them live life to the fullest. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Psychologists, and IPAR is part of the global MedHealth network.
Responsibilities
- Case management (caseloads are manageable, with Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks)
- Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes
- Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
- Work with a variety of clients, customers and personal injury schemes
- Complete assessments using clinical and allied health skills, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments
Qualifications
- Allied health qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Rehabilitation Counselling
- Current professional registration with the relevant governing body
- Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships
- Excellent time management and ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Problem-solving mindset with initiative and drive to achieve results
- Passion for injury prevention, return to work, and related health benefits
- Energy and drive to grow our services
- Current driver’s license and access to own vehicle
